"We could blow that damned fort out of existence if we could run a mine shaft under it!," claimed one Union soldier eyeing Bobby Lee's Petersburg defense line protecting Richmond and Jeff Davis. Puncture the line, take the hill behind, and the Confederate capital would celebrate Yankee jubilee, 1864. That was June. At 4:15 am, July 30, mine boss Henry Reese, sergeant, 48th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers, gingerly entered the mine, dark and muddy. Something had gone wrong. The mine, set to go off at 3:30, hadn't exploded. It had to be checked. The main mine gallery, 1.5 m high x 1.4 m wide (5 x 4 ft) narrowing at the top to 0.6 m (2 ft), forced Reese into a tuck run. Some¬where up there in that 155 m (511 ft) stretch running 6 m (20 ft) under the rebel works, moisture may have doused the charge. Or maybe a fuse splice went awry. Or maybe there was live fire steaming like a locomo¬tive towards 3.6 t (4 st) of black powder. Perhaps now Reese wished this sprint was shorter. For the mine boasted a record break¬ing distance in military annals. Lieut. Col. Henry Pleasants Credit goes to Lieut. Col. Henry Pleas¬ants, commander of the 48th, who overheard the soldier's claim for what a mine could do. In peacetime, Pleasants had been a railroad engineer working on the Sand Patch Tunnel. He later switched to mining, working for the Philadelphia & Reading Coal & Iron Co. He even married the daughter of the editor of The Miners Journal. Grieving over his wife's early death, Pleasants plunged into the ven¬ture of war. This Union officer took the mine idea to the brass. Headquarters was less than enthu¬siastic. "The chief engineer of the Army and the rest of the regular Army wiseacres said it was not feasible," Pleasants wrote to his uncle. The pros scoffed, ticking off a list of horribles: No mine has ever gone that far, men will suffocate and be crushed, the rebs will countermine, the men will be trapped. Still, Pleasants eked out a signal to proceed. In the meantime, the miners of the 48th had commenced to dig anyway. It was like the 48th to proceed against the odds. The 48th Pennsylvania Volunteers The 48th had been recruited from Penn¬sylvania's Schuylkill County, anthracite coal mining country. The mines had been torn with strife over wages. Strikes and rioting were prevalent. Murder was not unknown. This "Buckshot" resistance centered in Pottsville, PA. It forced the governor to call in troops. Coal was in high demand to run the war machine. Pennsylvania operators worried that a military draft would stir up violence, closing the mines altogether and further shift¬ing business to emerging Illinois mines. Men lit out for the western gold fields in the tens of thousands. Secret societies bred in the mining camps invited draft agents to dance at the end of a rope. Jobs threatened by cheap, victorious South¬ern labor were one warning intended to get immigrant miners interested in the war. Operators gave miners time off to help de¬fend Philadelphia during Lee's thrust to Gettysburg. Even so, the draft spawned new violence and troop intercession. Soldiers were not welcome. The dust had barely settled when into this Pennsylvania "minefield" marched the 48th on a recruitment drive. The 48th had been in Lexington, KY on guard duty. When it came time for the regiment to pull out, the townspeople had prevailed upon authorities to extend the regiment's stay. Finally ordered to move out, the 48th was feted by a hanky-waving, tear-dropping send-off to the lyrical lament Auld Lang Syne. And Kentucky fancied itself to be rebel. Striding smartly into the Pennsylvania coalfields, the 48th attracted 400 recruits and marched off under regimental colors specially made by the proud citizens of none other than Pottsville, PA.

"BACKGROUND Strata mechanics of three underground coal mines in central Utah were recently studied using a specialized finite element technique [1, 2, 3, 4]. The purpose of these studies was to examine relationships between mining and related seismicity. The longwall mining method was predominant, but room and pillar mining and barrier pillar mining were also used in the mines studied. In every case, high correlation between face advance and seismicity was observed. The specialized finite element technique allows for whole mine subsidence estimation at a kilometer scale and for stress concentration at a meter scale near a working face. Comparisons of observed mine subsidence with model subsidence allows for model verification and justifies detailed analysis of the evolution of stress at seam level. Yielding is expected near a longwall panel face and as the face is advanced the extent of yielding is expected to increase. The total number of element failures in a finite element mine model also increases, so a high correlation with associated seismicity, say, event count, is not so surprising. A brief review of recent coal mine studies in Utah is presented in the sequel. The procedures are given in some detail in application to trona mining. COAL MINES The analysis procedure begins with the geologic column and proceeds to specification of strata properties including elastic moduli and strengths. Joints are an integral part of the geologic model and joint set specifications include dip direction, dip, spacing, stiffness and strength. Spatial variability of strata properties in situ may be taken into account during analysis. Topography is important, especially to Utah coal mines that are developed from outcrop in regions of high relief. Mesh generation follows specification of data input. Finite element analysis is next, followed by reporting of results. In this regard, all finite element computations are based on first principles. No model “calibration” is done that involves adjusting computer input to obtain a fit to mine measurements such as subsidence profiles. Figure 1 illustrates the concept of a dual node – dual mesh finite element concept. Dual nodes are roof and floor nodes in mined areas. These nodes replace the seam. The dual mesh is a much refined mesh with displacement boundary conditions obtained from the big mesh and thus replaces the effect of mining in the region outside the dual mesh. The refined dual mesh allows for details of stress, strain and displacement near a working face of interest. Strata Properties Strata properties include elastic moduli and strengths of intact rock between joints and joint stiffness and strength for each joint set present. Both properties sets may be obtained from laboratory test data, although testing joints poses a sampling problem in the field. The statistical variability observed in laboratory test data, say, in unconfined compressive strength tests is often characterized by much variation. In fact, the coefficient of variation, ratio of standard deviation to mean, is often greater than 35 percent. When sample values are mapped back to the mine location, one may observe spatial variability as properties vary from place to place as shown in Figure 2. Spatial variability may be incorporated into a finite element analysis with probabilistic assignment of properties to elements in accordance with measured variability. The result is a more realistic model of rock in situ."

"The mining of tabular deposits accounts for a significant portion of modern production in both underground hard rock and especially, soft rock mining. There is a large discrepancy between the availability of tabular reserves and the amount of development of these deposits, particularly when the deposit has a dip of around 25-50 degrees. This project studied the technical and practical barriers to the mining of these deposits through modern and historical case studies. The primary technical barriers to the development of these deposits are material movement and roof support. The study of historical attempts overcome these barriers and why they failed allowed us to research the possibility of implementing modern technology on previously unsuccessful methods. By modifying some common mining methods, some of these deposits can be mined at only a marginal increase in cost and using readily available equipment. These modified mining methods could make previously underdeveloped deposits to become viable. INTRODUCTION Tabular deposits are defined as orebodies that extend at least hundreds of meters along two dimensions, and a substantially smaller amount along another [1]. Moderately bedded tabular deposits are mined less often than their more horizontal counterparts due to the technical issues they present. These issues often cause lower productivity, higher cost, and more frequent accidents. Moderate dip is a less well defined term; but in this case, it will refer to any deposit which has a dip of at least 20°. This paper will focus on deposits that dip around 25°-50° and are deep enough to require underground excavation methods. These deposits are too steep for most conventional methods yet not steep enough for gravity fed methods to work efficiently. In some cases, this dip range is also referred to as intermediate or steeply dipping. The types of deposits most likely to fall into this category are sedimentary bedded deposits such as coal, trona, evaporates, placers, and other alluvial deposits. Some other types of deposits can fall into this category as well. These include some of the metal reefs such as the Bushveld Complex in South Africa, which was deposited by lava flows, but is tabular. Some areas have dips that fall into the moderately inclined category. There are also some metamorphic deposits such as slate or marble that can have dips of more than 20°. The dip angle of these deposits can cause several challenges. Ore movement becomes more difficult as the exceeds the limits of conventional conveyors, rubber-tired, or tracked vehicles. At the same time the dip is below the angle of repose of the material. This prevents gravity assisted haulage, as the ore and waste will not run downhill by itself. Another common problem in moderately inclined underground mines is roof support. The dip angle can increase the risk of pillar and support failure. This is due to slippage between rock layers, non-perpendicular support of the vertical stresses, and slippage of standing supports. The inclination leads to stresses that are not usually found in typical horizontally bedded deposits. These stresses may require larger pillars that may reduce ore recovery below profitable levels."

The aim of this study is to present hazard classifications of location, type, and causes of accidents in Turkish coal-extracting industries using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). In this study, fatal mine accidents were analyzed by pairwise comparison and weighting, and the most important hazards were identified by determining the effective main and sub-criteria among location, type, and causes of accidents. For this purpose, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level hazards consisting of location, type, and causes of accident were determined by using the data of fatal mine accidents in underground and open-pit coal mining in Turkey between the years of 2010 and 2020. And then the data were categorized, and each category was prioritized using the AHP technique. According to the weights calculated by AHP, the most dangerous main criteria at 1st level hazards in underground coal mining is ventilation operations (0.363), while the most dangerous sub-criterion at 2nd level hazards is firedamp explosions and other gas accidents (0.409). On the other hand, in open-pit coal mining, the most dangerous main criteria at 1st level hazards are slopes and benches (0.575), while the most dangerous sub-criterion at 2nd level hazards are landslides (0.429).

There are many reasons why the US mineral and primary metals industry is in its present state. Undoubtedly, a flood of imported goods in all sectors is playing a major role in the plight of our raw materials industry. Domestic industry is becoming increasingly aware of the importance of its international competitiveness. And we are beginning to wonder what is happening to our technological edge. A number of factors affect the international competitiveness. Engineers cannot do much about some of these factors - labor costs, tax policy, government relations, interest rates, dollar strength, and labor-management relations. Something can be done about technology, however. Some say technology is so easily transferable today. But I would like to believe that we have the ability to apply it better than others. Not too many years ago, "made in Japan" meant cheap and shoddy products. Today, Japan has completely changed its image. The US is beginning to feel the threat from Japan's low-cost, defect-free products with dependable delivery. With worldwide recession and the strength of the dollar, we were shocked at the sudden weakness that developed in America's industries, not only in the international market, but domestically as well. What went wrong and what can we do about it? Senior executives from 300 large American manufacturing companies were surveyed. These executives believe US companies must: • invest in more efficient plants and equipment (27%); • invest in more research and development (23%); • improve the quality of service to customers (23%); and • adopt more aggressive marketing tactics and strategies (14%). Are we not doing enough research? The US has nearly four times as many people engaged in research and spends four times as much for research as Japan (Fig. 1). There is little doubt about the excellence of the US performance in basic science as indicated by the number of Nobel prize recipients. Japan has produced only four winners since World War II. Look at technology trade of five countries (Fig. 2). Again, US performance has been remarkable. An interesting observation here, is that the United Kingdom, another country with economic woes, is also in the black, West Germany and Japan, both with trade surpluses, are net technology importers. It is apparent that the US' performance in the commercialization of new knowledge is much more in question. Japan had $50 billion of trade surpluses with the US last year, which led to some friction between Washington, DC and Tokyo. Comparing the technology trade of Japan and the US in more detail, Japan imports disproportionately large amounts of technology from the US and Europe. This data is rather old, 1978, but the general trend is not too different even today. It is generally believed that scientific research leads to innovative technology, then to economic payoff. But, after seeing the current technological challenge by Japan, we are forced to change this traditional view. Investment in research may eventually lead to economic payoff, but not directly. There is a middle ground between new knowledge and its commercialization. This is an area where the Japanese have been successful. Until the 1970s, many western companies licensed patents to Japan for quick profits. But, in recent years, these companies have become more discrete about the terms of technological transfer. As a result, a number of scientists and engineers are expressing deep concern over the future of technological developments in Japan. In an earlier study (Deschênes et al., 2009), gold and silver were shown to be efficiently extracted from samples taken from the Kupol Mine in Russia using lead nitrate in a cyanide leach system. In the current study, a com-parison of the technical and economic merits of a new technology called CANMET enhanced leaching process (CELP) was made with the cyanidation/acidification-volatilization-recycling (AVR) process using eight metal-lurgical variability samples, as well as a large composite sample, which was to represent the initial two years of Kupol mill feed. The composite sample leach feed assayed 33.4 g/t Au and 289 g/t Ag. The metallurgical results from the large composite sample demonstrated that CELP produced very similar gold and slightly higher silver leach extractions compared to the conventional cyanidation/AVR leach conditions at 1/2 the cyanide concentra-tion (1,000 ppm NaCN in CELP vs. 2,000 ppm for cyanidation/AVR leach conditions). It was estimated that the total cost per ton was approximately the same for the two technologies (total cost of CELP with the use of Merrill-Crowe at $46.48/t, with cyanidation/AVR at $46.13/t). However, the implementation of CELP would eliminate a capital expenditure of approximately $5 million for an AVR system based on a 2005 feasibility level cost estimate. Eight variability samples used to confirm the composite sample results showed that, on average, the gold leach extractions with CELP and the conventional leach conditions were very similar, but the average silver leach extraction was 2.1% higher for CELP. Furthermore, CELP silver leach extraction was 4.6% higher on average compared to conventional cyanidation for the four mid-grade variability samples evaluated. The decision was made to remove AVR cyanide recovery from the flowsheet and implement CELP at Kupol. The ability to use the conventional leach equipment with CELP and simplify the flowsheet was also a factor, given the remote location of the Kupol Mine.

This research, sponsored at Stanford Research Institute by the Grand Junction Operations Office of the U.S, Atomic Energy Commission, was an outgrowth of the concern that presently-known ore reserves may be inadequate to meet the projected demands of nuclear power reactors. The original program at SRI was to design a comprehensive geological information system and use it to store and analyze the very great quantity of data needed to estimate uranium ore reserves. Study of the problem showed that it could be solved only by use of modern electronic data processing techniques, so such a comprehensive system was designed and tested. The system test was satisfactory, but input lead time and total expense were shown to be too great for the system to be practicable for the AEC under present circumstances. Thus, based on results of the earlier research, a specialized and simplified procedure for predicting approximate uranium ore reserves was devised. The prediction is based on general geology of specific area cells of the earth, in order to provide complete volume coverage; the strata in these ores are evaluated for uranium ore favorability on the basis of a few selected criteria in order to allow rapid data input. Since the bulk of U.S. reserves are in clastic host rocks only such strata are considered in this work. This paper describes the structure and some details of the resource system and how it was tested in rn area of the western United States.

Spreadsheet software is an effective tool for simulating dynamic stochastic systems such as mineral processing plants. The two-product formula is used to show how to set up a Monte Carlo simulation in a spreadsheet template and how to calculate variances of dependent variables. The key to a reliable and realistic simulation model is to obtain unbiased estimates for all independent variables and variances in the set that defines the stochastic system. Monte Carlo simulation is also a powerful tool for optimizing sampling procedures, for applying sensitivity analysis and for designing and evaluating experiments.

Fracture under low velocity free-fall and double impact, and under slow compression have been-investigated. The pattern of breakage and the size distribution of resulting fragments for sand-cement and glass spheres have been determined. Photoelasticity methods were used to simulate the stress distributions in free-fall impact in order to explain the observed patterns of breakage. Oblique fracture planes, occurring only in free-fall impact, develop along lines which coincide with the trajectories of principal compression as determined by mathematical analysis Breakage efficiencies for different modes of fracture were compared for both types of spheres. For the same specimen and loading system, static loading and low velocity dynamic loading induce geometrically similar stress fields resulting in reasonably similar fracture patterns and shapes of fragments.

This paper discusses the use of Conditional Simulation (CS) models to provide mill feed grade profiles for different time periods. The conventional approach of classifying block estimates as ore or waste generally does not adequately represent dilution, lost ore and the anticipated grade control data, including variability of mill feed from the pit and possible stockpiles. The detailed simulation of grade control practices can be done, but at the Pre- or Feasibility stage of the project may be impractical, since drawing dig limits on multiple benches is tedious and time consuming. Using the Feasibility Grade Control (FGC) method as developed by the Centre for Computational Geostatistics (CCG, University of Alberta-Edmonton), the CS models can be processed quickly to establish dilution and lost ore, and predict daily or short-term feed to the mill. The simulated nodes can be aggregated into selective mining units with adequate representation of likely geometries to be recovered from the pit, to mimic anticipated selectivity. An example from a large copper deposit is shown. The study provides an estimated stream of tonnages and grades fed to the plant by mining periods of interest and based on a specific mine design and schedule. The resulting cash flows support the economic and financial analyses of the Feasibility Study; also leads to improving mine schedules; and aids in developing blending schemes if necessary. INTRODUCTION The conventional approach of separating mineralized material into ore or waste categories does not always include a realistic amount of dilution and ore loss. Also, often it does not provide a good estimate of the grade that will be fed to the mill. If the grade control estimates are unbiased, they will over the long run represent the long-term average of grades fed to the mill; but the anticipated variability of mill feed from the pit and stockpile sources may be misrepresented. Some references on traditional grade control implementations can be found in Chunnett (1982); Davis et al. (1989); Srivastava et al. (1992); and Nowak (1992). Alternative methods based on economic variables improved significantly on the purely grade-based control methods, see Douglas et al. (1994). Further developments involved the use of geostatistical conditional simulations (CS) and profit models, which in several cases have been successfully implemented (Aguilar and Rossi, 1996; Rossi, 1997; Deutsch et al., 2000; Norrena and Deutsch, 2002; Neufeld, 2005; Jewbali and Dimitrakopoulos, 2009). But they can be impractical, mostly due to the lack of understanding of the methodology involved; even if semi-automatic dig limit drawing is implemented, there is always a need for is tedious and time consuming checking and corrections, even if using a single profit model derived from the simulated grades.

Materials produced in quarries have been used for different intentions such as concrete and cement raw material, asphalt and embankment aggregates, railway ballast. Especially in cement manufacturing, the chemical composition and the uniformity of the raw materials play a strategic role in the economy and quality of the cement process. Therefore, it is necessary to achieve uniformity and desired chemical composition and maintain these at all production stages according to the type of cement produced. To achieve this goal the production planning and pit design play an essential role. This paper briefly outlines the production optimization of cement raw materials in a quarry in Istanbul western part of Turkey. For the purpose it was used the 3D ore body modeling and the geostatistical techniques. The variation of chemical components (%CaO, %Al2O3, %Fe2O3 etc.) and quality control parametres (LSF, SR, AR and etc.) obtained from the quarry were determined. Then the values of unknown chemical components and quality control parameters in the ore body were estimated using Kriging which is one of the geostatistical interpolation methods. The open pit design was also created by specifying wall slopes and taking into consideration of the grade distributions of the benches. The most important revolution in the paper is investigating the effects of the block dimensions in block modelling which is important for reserve estimation. The other important point in the study is using the different range values in variogram analysis for determination optimal reserve estimation. n this study, the effects of two parametres on reserve and waste amount estimation were determined according to CaO% distribution. The study was pointed out that the changing of the two parameters are very important for the optimal mine planning and environmental considerations.

At the Kakogawa works of Kobe Steel. Ltd., the agglomeration facilities are composed of a pelletizing plant and sintering plant. This aim is to utilize raw materials efficiently and stabilize the raw material resources. Therefore at Kakogawa works, the blast furnaces (BF) have been operated with high pellet ratio and various developments for pellet properties have been achieved to improve the blast furnace performance. These developments include dolomite-fluxed pellets, new-porous pellets and crushed pellets. As a results of these improvements, pellets have achieved almost the same performance as sinter at high temperature regarding properties such as the softening, melting and reduction behaviour. However, some problems on shape have remained to be solved. Spherical pellets flow easily into the center of the furnace and form mixed layers of pellets and cokes. Therefore, in BF operations with these pellets it becomes more difficult to keep proper and stable gas distribution.

Many coal mining companies have potential surface mine reserves which either are known or suspected to have had prior drift mining activity on them. In many cases, there is no documentation on these mines or at best, very fragmented records. These undocumented abandoned underground mines are creating engineering, financial, and environmental difficulties and concerns for both surface coal mine operators and regulatory personnel. This paper examines the use of resistivity techniques in detecting entries of abandoned drift coal mines. The detection of such a drift mine entry would confirm the presence and orientation of an abandoned underground coal mine.

The U. S. Bureau of Mines (USBM) has investigated instrumentation and methods for measuring exposure to radon daughters in underground mine atmospheres. Both personal and area monitors have been studied through in-house and contract research. A field study in uranium mines identified some reliability problems that required additional work for the personal dosimeter systems. Improved versions of continuous working level detectors have been developed and tested for use as area monitors in underground mines. Test results for the personal and area monitors were satisfactory for underground mine applications.

"Longwall shearers are widely employed in underground coal mines. The reliability of such machine has significant importance for successful mining operations. This paper aims at studying reliability of a longwall shearer using failure data recorded for a year. Data was pre-processed, sorted and selected for analysis. Selected data is then examined using statistical models. Distribution fitting of time-between-failure (TBF) and time-to-repair (TTR) are accomplished using three different models. Goodness-of-fit criteria is used to ascertain the best fitting model. Reliability in terms of mean-time-between-failure (MTBF), and mean-time-to-repair (MTTR) are calculated using the model which best represents the failure data. Exponential distribution best represents the time between failure and lognormal distribution the time to repair data. A well-known risk management technique Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis is used to evaluate the critical breakdowns. Critical system/parts, experiencing regular failures is delineated based on this analysis. INTRODUCTION Mining is a capital intensive process, and huge monetary investment is required to develop and operate a mining project. Heavy and expensive equipment’s are employed in development and operation of these projects. In order to ensure timely completion of set milestones, it is mandatory that equipment’s perform their required task productively. Delays are not unusual owing to breakdown of these equipment’s. Breakdown or failure experienced by any of the equipment pose heavy financial burden. Moreover, frequent times, companies have to employ and dedicate additional resources to make up for such delays. Delays in project is not only detrimental to company’s image in market, but it also interrupts customer commitments. Mines having history of not fulfilling their promise usually get lower commodity price. Penalties are also imposed on the companies defaulting its obligations. Especially, in today’s world where competition among the companies are growing, success means keeping up the commitments in a timely manner. Heavy machinery and equipment are instrumental in success of any project. These machinery and equipment’s have to reliable in a sense that they can perform the set task in given time period. Reliability of these equipment plays a pivotal role in success of any project. The reliability analysis of mining equipment has long history. Many researchers have applied different statistical models for analyzing the reliability of mining machines (Samanta, Sarkar [1]. Kumar and Klefsjö [2] demonstrated the use of the power law process model for reliability assessments of repairable mining machines. Barabady and Kumar [3] performed the reliability analysis from failure data of the crushing plants."

In this decade mining companies in western Canada have searched for reliable and inexpensive ways to improve mine productivity. Truck dispatching systems, equipment vital sign monitoring and sensing, vehicle guidance systems, have all been considered. In this paper the off -highway vehicle monitoring systems used or planned to be installed at surface coal mines in western Canada are described. The monitoring systems are divided according to their function and application; installation and testing procedures are described, as well as the economic benefits to the mining operation.

Dupont has successfully incorporated a Floatex Density Separator into its wet-gravity operations for the recovery of zircon from titanium tailings. Results indicate that the Floatex achieved a zircon recovery of approximately 95% while rejecting similar amounts of quartz and other gangue minerals. Additionally, a unit capacity approaching 16 tonnes/hr/m2 was achieved. Results also show that the alumino-silicates can be separated into other product streams that will further improve process economics and minimize waste material. The improved plant feed grade provided by the Floatex has allowed for either an increase in overall plant capacity and/or final product grade. The analysis of the results of metallurgical experiments is often complicated by experimental errors and uncertainty, the complexity of the system being studied, and the confusion of correlation with causation. Consequently, comparative statistics are used to determine if a difference exists between the outcomes of tests, an estimate of this difference, and the precision of the estimate. This paper reviews the use of significance tests and confidence intervals for the comparison of results from two tests, the use of reference distributions, and blocking and randomization techniques to reduce unavoidable sources of variability. These techniques are demonstrated using plant and laboratory data.

Large amounts of by-products, including coal gangue, circulating fluidized bed (CFB) slag, and coal fly ash (CFA), are generated during mining, washing and burning of high alumina coal (HAC). The stockpile of these by-products of HAC will cause the pollution of air, water and soil. Meanwhile, the unbalanced regional distribution of bauxite and alumina production has been a critical challenge for the sustainability of world alumina refineries, especially for China. Therefore, economical extraction of alumina from by-products of HAC not only resolves the environmental pollution problems caused by stockpile but also decreases the dependence degree of import bauxite in China. Considering the fact that powder alumina can only be produced by alkali methods, the alkali extraction of alumina from by-products of HAC is summarized in this paper. Based on the formation process of by-products of HAC, the principle, research status, and problem of existing methods were analyzed and discussed, as well as the forecast of research trend. The analyses indicate that simplex recovery of alumina from byproducts of HAC generates large amounts of leaching residue (red mud) with difficulty for disposing, while comprehensive extraction of alumina and silica meets the research trend for clean and high-value utilization.
