OFR-69(1)-75 Research and Development Contract for Coal Mine Communication System - Volume I Summary and Results of System Study - Section 1 - Introduction

This report is a compilation of all information obtained in accordance with the requirements of contracts S0122076 and H0232056. A series of eight coal mines were visited to determine their communications usage and requirements. Presently available equipment was surveyed and evaluated to determine its applicability to the needs of the mines.
