Abstract

A series of papers dealing with diamond drilling practices, compiled in accordance with an outline prepared by engineers of the United States Bureau of Mines, is to be published as information circulars by the bureau. This paper, the first of the series, describes the general practice at the United Verde mine during the last ten years; specific instances cited in the paper refer to 1930, the last year of full operation. The United Verde copper mine is located at the town of Jerome, Yavapai County, north central Arizona.
