Abstract
The thermodynamically-based pyrometallurgical simulation software  STEPSOL (Version 3.0) provides for the modelling of activities using the  Interaction Parameter Model, the Regular Solution Model, the  Sub-Regular Three Suffix Margules Model, the Sub-Regular Four Suffix  Margules Model and various simpler polynomial models. These are  briefly reviewed, along with the major sources of data available in the  literature, and the implementation of the models in the program.
